"I was looking for online Swahili classes and most of them are based on Kenyan Swahili. That is fine but I want to learn the more proper form first. I have been told and read that Kenyan Swahili contains a lot of slang and for beginners it creates issues when confronted with the proper form. So this was the best pick for me!"

"I highly recommend Lugha Swahili for both beginner and intermediate speakers. I did a 1:1 course which allowed for direct attention to me and my specific learning needs. I was able to tailor the learning plan to match the skill level that I began with and I learned quite a lot! The instructor was patient and had a strong emphasis on pronunciation and vocabulary which I appreciated. They also took the time to answer questions and explain context specific nuances in how Kiswahili is spoken. I’m now more capable and confident in speaking the language and navigating travel to Kiswahili speaking countries."

"Veronica is an excellent tutor! I knew no Kiswahili before starting, but after completing her Beginners Course, I am able to read, write, translate and speak on a number of subjects! Veronica strikes the balance perfectly between grammar, vocabulary, and explaining concepts. She has also given me insight into the rich historical and cultural roots of Swahili, as well as it's significance for the modern day economy of Tanzania, East Africa, and the African continent more generally.

I feel so fortunate to have crossed paths with Veronica! What an enjoyable and motivating 10 weeks. I will most certainly be coming back for more! I would not hesitate to recommend Veronica as a Kiswahili tutor.

Asante sana Veronica kwa kunifundisha! Nimefurahia sana! Tutaonana hivi karibuni!"
